Qing enjoys exploring the realm where eastern and western cultures, arts and music collide. The studio was born to connect with like-minded people who are always passionate for the unusual, keen to try and learn something very different from what their peers would do in their cultures. Guzheng is an absolute gem in Qing's eyes. Being dedicated to making it possible for those who enjoy exploring the new to get to know, experience and play Guzheng, Qing never stops enjoying performing and playing Guzheng. About Qing
Qing is a popular and professional Guzheng performer and teacher of +16 years experience. She started teaching Guzheng in China and UK and have now made her lessons available to all Guzheng lovers worldwide thanks to virtual classrooms.
She started her music journey at a very young age of 4, and in 2005 Qing achieved the Guzheng’s highest Grade (10th) from China Conservatory of Music. Since then, her musicality and passion towards Guzheng continues to grow both domestically and overseas. Qing has taught many students from a wide range of backgrounds in age, nationality, occupations and motivations etc. |
She has also been invited to perform Guzheng in many events and concerts, both in China and overseas. To just name a few, she recently performed as the one and only official Guzheng artist at World Expo in Dubai in residence for 6 months; she has also performed as Guzheng soloist at Selfridge's New Year Event; Chinese Cultural Heritage Celebration invited by Major of Croydon in UK; China Day of Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship in London, East Meets West Annual Concert across many countries and major venues etc. Click here to see and keep up with her recent performances and Guzheng stories.

Bring Guzheng Overseas
Qing knew it was the time to bring Guzheng to life in western world when a few Europeans approached her for learning Guzheng with completely different motivations over a decade ago. She said yes without a second thought as she had dreamed of introducing this very lovely instrument to wider audience outside China since she was a teenager.
Since then, she has taught many people with a range of backgrounds such as a 5-year-old British born Chinese, undergraduates majoring in Data Science and Theology, a British banker with his own music band, a half Thai half German professional singer, an Italian restaurant owner, and a 68-year-old art lover etc... Qing finds it amazing that it's the passion for Guzheng that even helps connect cultures and one to another all over the world.
